shes seen her share of devils in this angel town

As a nurse the funniest thing happens .... without noticing, you start to look at everyday situation in a medical way... all of a sudden a bruise is an abrasion ... a hang over? just dehydration: you need more water so that your kreb's cycle can function.....
the funniest part to me is when you see someone you like / used to like / blah blah
and then this pops into my head: acute stress response.
Layman's terms? fight or flight.
It is a theory which states that animals react to threats with a general discharge of the sympathetic nervous system, priming the animal for fighting or fleeing. So when I am just chillin, my neurons are just firing up there normally, BUT THEN, an external stimulus ! a stressor! it is relayed from my sensory cortex of the brain through the hypothalamus to the brain stem.
If the stimulus is perceived as a threat, a more intense and prolonged discharge of the locus ceruleus activates the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system. This activation is associated with specific physiological actions in the system, both directly and indirectly through the release of epinephrine (adrenaline) and to a lesser extent norepinephrine from the medulla of the adrenal glands. The release is triggered by acetylcholine released from preganglionic sympathetic nerves.

and with this I believe I have lost the last of my readers hahahaha
but for cereal, this is what floats around in my head, in case you were wondering....
most people get jolted and scared.... THAT is what happens to me

heavy dudes
hhhheaaavyyyy
